This January, Programme Manager Naidi McDonnell and Capacity Development and Communications Manager Abigail Carney attended Edmund Rice International's Human Rights and Advocacy Programme.
We are delighted to present the ERD Strategic Plan 2023-25. The development of the plan was a key focus for ERD throughout 2022 and we were committed to an inclusive process which was informed by the voice of our most important partners – ER development projects and the communities and individuals with whom they work.
In February, Fiona and Naidi along with ERD Board Member Dee McMahon had the opportunity to visit the partner projects in Kenya.
In December 2022, 10 beneficiaries from The Justice Desk traveled to South Korea and spoke on the power of Everyday Activism.

In February 2022, Abigail travelled to Sierra Leone to visit the Girls Empowerment
project and the team in the West Africa Mission Development Office.
The Fe y Alegría project assists over 1,400 primary and secondary school students with academic and psycho-social support in the San Juan de Lurigacho neighbourhood, which is an area of high poverty in Lima. This is one of many stories of how this project impacts the community.
In October 2022, Abigail headed off to Latin America to visit the Fe y Alegría and Reaching New Horizons projects in Peru, the Centro Hermano Manolo project in Bolivia, and the Latin
America Mission Office.
In November 2022, Naidi travelled to Cebu City and Bato, Leyte to visit the projects of the Edmund Rice Ministries Foundation Philippines, which are supported by ERD.
The Edmund Rice Eldoret Empowerment project facilitated the ‘End Rape Culture’ campaign in July to advocate for change and to raise awareness on Sexual and Gender Based Violence.
Edmund Rice International (ERI) hosted a diverse group of members of the Edmund Rice network from across the world. Nine participants brought diverse perspectives to the training program held in Geneva from November 6th to the 21st.
